EMS upgrade considerations for organizations running versions 7.2.0.1709 & 7.2.0.1768
If your organization is running EMS version 7.2.0.1709 ro 7.2.0.1768, then please plan to uninstall the software first before installing the latest version of the EMS.
If the upgrade process has already been started while running EMS version 7.2.0.1709 or 7.2.0.1768, then please plan to perform the following steps:
Open a command prompt as administrator and navigate to the Program Files (x86)\ENow\MailscapeWeb\MailscapeWebService folder and type the following:
"c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v4.0.30319\installutil" /i enowwebservice.exe
Keep the same command prompt open and then open another command prompt as administrator and navigate to the Program Files (x86)\ENow\MailscapeWeb\MailscapeSQLService folder and type the following:
"c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v4.0.30319\installutil" /i enowsqlservice.exe
Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the individual components and then go back to the first command prompt window and type the following:
"c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v4.0.30319\installutil" /u enowwebservice.exe
Go back to the second command prompt window and type the following:
"c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v4.0.30319\installutil" /u enowsqlservice.exe
