Method 1: 

  1. Uninstall the agent from the client using control panel (If the server has already been decommissioned, skip to step 5).
  2. Ensure all ENow services have been removed on the client machine.
  3. If they are still running on the client, run the following from cmd prompt:    
    • SC DELETE “ENow Admin Service”
    • SC DELETE “ENow Client Service”
  4. Delete the following directory from the client machine: C:\Program Files (x86)\ENow.
  5. On the webserver open the ENow Admin Console and go to: Server → Tuning Policy → Agent Monitor.
  6. Select the server you wish to remove from the dropdown window then click Remove Server.
  7. Click Refresh (at the bottom left).
  8. Select the server on the left column and click Delete.
  9. Go to Monitoring Policy.
  10. Select the server on the left column and click Delete.
  11. Open Windows Explorer and delete the following directory: 
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\ENow\MailscapeWeb\MailscapeData\Database\Properties\<SERVERNAME>.

 

Alternative Method:

 

Assuming the agents have been uninstalled on the clientmachine, please follow the steps below:

  1. Stop the Mailscape App Pool.
  2. Open the Database\Properties folder (in step 11 above).
  3. Delete all folders related to any decommissioned servers.
  4. Go to the Database folder and open the Catalog.xml file with notepad.
  5. Delete all references to any decommissioned server.
    •   Example: Assuming EX-MBX01 is no longer being monitored, it will be necessary to delete the following entry from that file: <s>EX-MBX01</s>. 
  6.  Save the file.
  7.  Restart the Mailscape App Pool.
